Next day, we go for an outing in Elk Falls Provincial Park, near the town of
Campbell River.
Part of the park is turned over to BC Hydro to make power... |

The Penstocks. Built entirely of wood in 1947, they've been carrying water from the dam to the hydro plant, many Km downstream. They will transport their last litre of water in October 2018. (We got there just in time....) |
